Carrier IQ... Oh dear.

This week in the techno world, a scandal exploded to the headlines which is all about 'Carrier IQ'. As we know, Carrier IQ is a secret software running on a large number of smartphone's in the U.S. which include Apple, (excluding devices running on iOS 5) HTC, and Samsung. Carrier IQ is a software which basically scans every movement on your device, such as pressing a button, watching a video, or even just simply using an app. All this information gets recorded and tracked when and where you used that application. Scary, I know.

The apparent use of Carrier IQ is to overall improve mobile phone services. Beside this, critics say that this software completely invades smartphone users privacy. Obviously, the critics are right.

But it still remains unknown to the public where that data gets sent to and who is actually able to access that information. However all this data is stored, and could potentially be hacked, stolen, or leaked to the public.

In my opinion Carrier IQ is not the best of ideas, but what do you think? As we would love to hear from you, just drop a comment below and give us your own thoughts about this subject.
